Hastings Advice and Representation Centre

For over 40 years, we’ve helped people of all ages with free and confidential welfare benefits advice across East Sussex. We are here to help.

Cost of living support

East Sussex County Council offers clear guidance on the range of cost of living support available to residents, helping people understand what assistance they may be eligible for and how to access it.

Benefits advice

We offer confidential advice and support on a wide range of benefits, including Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment, Disability Living Allowance and Attendance Allowance. We can provide benefits advice when you need it – for example when illness or sudden life changes occur.

Get involved

There are many ways you can get involved in our work, from donating via JustGiving and volunteering in our charity shops to playing a vital strategic role as a HARC Trustee. Thank you for your support.

Improving lives for people on low
incomes and those facing financial change

We’re a specialist team of welfare advisors providing confidential, tailored support at every stage, in person, by phone, or online. We run local charity shops offering volunteering and work experience, campaign for fairness, and share our expertise to help people facing financial difficulty access the support they need.
